The Soul Haven: Terms & Conditions, Private Sessions, Shared Sessions, Classes & Session Packages

By booking a session, reading, class, shared session, or package at The Soul Haven and checking the box below, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

In these terms:

- "The Soul Haven" refers to the studio at 25 W. 25th Ave., Ste. #2, San Mateo, CA, and to the business name under which Higher Love Healing LLC operates.

- "Amie" refers to Amie Tyler and Higher Love Healing LLC.

- "Vanessa" refers to Vanessa Lee Segale and Wild Lotus Energy.

- "Your practitioner" refers to whichever of them you have booked with. For shared sessions where both are working, it refers to each of them for the work she provides.

- "We" and "us" refer to Amie and Vanessa together.

- "You" refers to the Client and/or the person booking the appointment for themselves or for a minor for whom they are the legal guardian.

1. Who We Are

The Soul Haven is home to two independent healing practices: Higher Love Healing LLC, led by Amie Tyler, and Wild Lotus Energy, led by Vanessa Lee Segale. The Soul Haven is a registered business name (DBA) of Higher Love Healing LLC.

Each practice is its own separate business. When you book with one practitioner, your agreement is with that practitioner and her business. Neither practitioner is an employee, agent, or legal partner of the other, and each is responsible only for the services she personally provides. For shared sessions and events where both practitioners work in the room at the same time, each practitioner is responsible for the work she provides to the client on her table.

2. Your Healing Journey

Through these sessions, the process of activating higher consciousness may bring a new level of spiritual awakening or bring old programs and patterns to light. You understand this is a natural part of healing.

3. About Your Practitioners and This Work

Provided in accordance with California Business and Professions Code sections 2053.5 and 2053.6:

Neither Amie Tyler nor Vanessa Lee Segale is a licensed physician, psychologist, therapist, or other state-licensed health care provider. The services offered at The Soul Haven are alternative or complementary to healing arts services licensed by the state, and they are not licensed by the State of California.

About energy healing. The energy healing offered at The Soul Haven falls within the category of biofield therapies, as classified by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, the federal government’s lead agency for research on complementary health approaches and one of the centers within the National Institutes of Health. The “biofield” is a term that originated at the National Institutes of Health to describe the field of energy and information that surrounds and permeates the living body, and it remains an active area of scientific study alongside related areas such as interoception and nervous system regulation.

There are many forms of energy-healing, which are energy-based complementary therapies designed to promote deep relaxation and support patient well-being. Reiki is one of many forms of energy healing, like Healing Touch, used at Stanford and many hospitals around the world. Both Amie and Vanessa are trained in several different energy healing modalities.

About Amie Tyler, Higher Love Healing LLC. Amie is the founder of Higher Love Healing. Her work draws on Process Work facilitation, nervous system regulation, expressive arts and somatic practices, energy healing, guided meditation, hypnosis, intuitive coaching, intuitive readings, and mediumship. The approach rests on the understanding that a person’s biofield holds information, and that bringing awareness to what is held there supports a person’s own capacity to heal. Sessions may include hands-on or hands-off energy work, guided meditation, intuitive readings, and conversation.

Intuitive guidance and mediumship are spiritual practices and are not part of the biofield therapies category, nor are they licensed or regulated by any state or federal body.

Amie is a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui lineage. She holds a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology from Sofia University, where her focus was therapeutic and ancient methods of healing through expressive arts. She is certified in trauma-informed expressive arts therapy and as a nervous system practitioner. Amie is also certified as a Process Work Facilitator for individuals and Worldwork, and has completed a post-graduate mentorship and certification in UnShaming. Process Work is a depth psychology framework and awareness practice that focuses on following the natural flow of human experience to facilitate personal and collective change. She has been practicing professionally since 2015 and founded Higher Love Healing LLC in 2019. She is a standing guest lecturer at Stanford University.

About Vanessa Lee Segale, Wild Lotus Energy. Vanessa is the founder of Wild Lotus Energy. She offers somatic movement sessions, spiritual workouts, and energy work designed to help clients move past stagnation, let go of emotional rigidity, and step into total liberation. Known for her uplifting, vibrant, and loving energy, she holds a nurturing, judgment-free space where people can shed societal expectations, "feel it to heal it," and dance their way back to alignment.

Her work includes Reiki and somatic movement sessions that bring together meditation, breathwork, and dance, offering a space to move stored emotion through the body and return to presence. Sessions may include hands-on or hands-off energy work, guided movement, breathwork, meditation, and conversation.

Vanessa is a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui lineage. She is also a certified SAH Method Facilitator, extensively trained in the Somatic Activated Healing (SAH) Method, a practice that combines breathwork, meditation, positive affirmations, and intentional dance to help clients safely move through trauma, shake off stagnant energy, and resensitize to their "felt sense".

4. Energy Medicine and Spiritual Care Are Complementary to Medical and Mental Health Care

These services are complementary to conventional care. They are not a substitute for care from a licensed psychologist, therapist, psychiatrist, medical doctor, or any other licensed professional, and they are not medical, legal, or financial advice. Neither practitioner makes any claim to diagnose, treat, or cure any illness or disorder. All work offered at The Soul Haven is spiritual and personal development in nature.

If you experience addiction or a mental health condition, please continue working with your licensed provider alongside our time together. Results vary for every person, and no specific outcome is guaranteed.

These services are not a mental health crisis resource. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or an emergency, please call 911 (U.S.) or your local emergency services right away.

5. Privacy, Data, and Record-Keeping

The promise of privacy. Amie and Vanessa each hold client sessions, communications, and personal information in strict confidence. Your practitioner will not share, sell, or disclose your identity, contact information, or the contents of your sessions with any third party, except as you voluntarily agree or as set out in the limited legal and safety exceptions below.

Between the two practices. Amie and Vanessa keep their client information separate. What you share with one practitioner is not shared with the other without your permission. The exception is shared sessions and events hosted by The Soul Haven, where both practitioners can see the booking and intake information for that event so that either of them can welcome you and work with you.

The nature of practice records. Because this work is spiritual and personal development rather than clinical practice, the information collected is kept as standard business records rather than medical or clinical charts. Amie and Vanessa do not maintain traditional narrative case notes, clinical progress reports, or psychological tracking logs of individual sessions, and that is on purpose.

Visual biofield drawings. During or after a session, Amie may create visual, non-textual representations, sketches, or drawings of your energy field, auric field, or biofield. These are created solely as intuitive, real-time working tools that support the session, and they do not constitute diagnostic medical, psychological, or physiological records. All such drawings remain the sole intellectual property of Amie and Higher Love Healing LLC. Amie may securely destroy or permanently delete these drawings at the conclusion of a session or within a timeframe at her sole discretion.

Third-party platforms and digital risk. Amie, Vanessa, and The Soul Haven use Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace company, to manage booking, intake forms, and administrative contact information. By submitting information through a booking portal, you acknowledge that your data is stored and processed according to that platform’s privacy policy. Each practitioner maintains secure, password-protected, restricted access to her administrative dashboard. Standard electronic communications, including regular email, SMS text messaging, and unencrypted messaging apps, carry inherent intercept risks. If you choose to send sensitive personal information through these channels, you do so acknowledging and accepting those risks.

California law and legal privilege. Because these sessions are not licensed health care, communications within them do not carry statutory therapist-client privilege or doctor-patient privilege under the California Evidence Code. If your practitioner is served with a legally binding court order, lawful subpoena, or law enforcement directive compelling the production of client data, including intake forms or visual biofield drawings, she is legally obligated to comply with the law. You agree that your practitioner is not liable for complying with such a lawful order. If you are the party who initiates or requests legal proceedings that require your practitioner to produce records or testify, you agree to reimburse her reasonable costs, including legal counsel fees and time.

Safety and protective exceptions. Notwithstanding the general pledge of confidentiality, each practitioner reserves the right to disclose limited, necessary client information to appropriate emergency contacts, medical personnel, or authorities if she has a good-faith belief that disclosure is required to prevent imminent, serious physical harm or life-threatening danger to you or another identifiable individual, or to report the known or reasonably suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a minor child, an elderly person (65 or older), or a dependent or vulnerable adult, in alignment with safety best practices and ethical standards.

6. Scheduling, Cancellations, Late Arrivals, and Refunds

Cancellations and reschedules require at least 24 hours notice. You can cancel or reschedule by clicking "Change/Cancel Appointment" in your confirmation email. To cancel with less than 24 hours notice, email the practitioner you booked with:

- Amie, and all shared sessions and events booked through The Soul Haven: amie@amietyler.com

Changes made with less than 24 hours notice incur a fee of 50% of the session price.

* For 45 minute and 1-hour sessions, they begin and end at the scheduled time so every client receives their full time. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the session is considered a no-show, and the full session fee is kept with no refund or make-up session. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, such as Stripe, or through Venmo.

* For 30 minute intuitive reading sessions with Amie, if you arrive more than 10 minutes late, the session will be considered a no-show.

* For Sundays at The Soul Haven, our 30 minute Reiki sessions, if you arrive more than 5 minutes late your session will be cancelled and you will not be able to enter to preserve the focus of the energy already in motion. The session is considered a no-show, and the full session fee is kept with no refund or make-up session.

If a true emergency arises, please email your practitioner and we will talk it through together. If your practitioner needs to reschedule, you will be offered a new time or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

7. Hands-On and Hands-Off Healing

For all first-time, in-person energy work, your practitioner will always ask whether you prefer hands-on or hands-off healing. Hands-on energy healing is done only with your expressed permission, and is performed through light touch on the major energy centers (the "chakras") of the body. This is the same light touch offered in hospitals that provide Healing Touch or Reiki. If you prefer not to be touched, hands-off healing works just as beautifully. You may change your preference at any time during a session, simply by letting your practitioner know. You and your entire being are not only respected, but honored at all times.

8. Shared Sessions and Community Events

Some offerings at The Soul Haven, such as our Sunday sessions, take place with two tables in the same room and both practitioners working at the same time. Each booking reserves one table for one person.

Because another client and practitioner are in the room, a shared session is a community experience rather than a private one. We ask every guest to keep what they see and hear in the room to themselves, and we cannot guarantee the privacy of anything spoken aloud during a shared session.

We will pair you with a practitioner when you arrive. You are welcome to request Amie or Vanessa, and we will honor requests whenever we can.

9. Somatic Movement and Breathwork

Vanessa’s somatic movement sessions and classes include physical movement, dance, shaking, and breathwork. You participate at your own pace and within your own limits, and you are welcome to rest or step out at any time.

By taking part, you confirm that you are physically able to participate, and you accept the ordinary risks that come with physical activity. If you are pregnant or have a heart, respiratory, or other medical condition, please check with your licensed health care provider before joining, and let Vanessa know before the session begins.

10. Clients Under 18

Sessions for clients under 18 must be booked by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on the minor’s behalf and gives consent for the session, including any hands-on healing. The parent or guardian must remain reachable during the session.

11. The Studio Space

In-person sessions are held at The Soul Haven, 25 W. 25th Ave., Ste. #2, San Mateo, CA, the studio shared by Amie Tyler of Higher Love Healing LLC and Vanessa Lee Segale of Wild Lotus Energy. The Patio Shops provide the physical space and are not involved in sessions or responsible for any part of them. For private sessions, the practitioner you did not book with is not involved in your session or responsible for any part of it.

The Soul Haven is an energetic being and is a space of non-judgement and unconditional love. Please arrive gently. Before you cross the threshold into the studio, take a moment on the patio to silence your phone and take a few deep breaths. We invite you to honor crossing the threshold with reverence for all that is behind you and the possibilities of the future from this point forward.

12. Recording and Photography

Amie’s virtual sessions are recorded by Amie and shared privately with you afterward. Recordings are kept for 30 days and then deleted, so please download yours within two weeks for safe keeping.

For private in-person sessions, you are welcome to record on your own phone for personal reference. During shared sessions, classes, and community events, please do not record or photograph, out of care for the other guests in the room.

Sessions are never photographed without your express request or permission.

13. Virtual Sessions

Zoom sessions require a stable internet connection, and you will benefit from a quiet, private space.

14. Onsite Hospital or Home Visits

For sessions held in a home or hospital, travel fees may apply, and your practitioner will follow all facility rules and visitor policies. Travel time and session specifics will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

15. Mediumship and Intuitive Readings

Amie connects with Spirit with love and care, and the messages that come through are guided by Spirit rather than by request. While we can hold an intention to connect with a particular loved one, no specific person, message, or detail can be promised. Information received is offered for your reflection and is yours to interpret through your own knowing.

16. Transformation Journey and Other Packages

Packages are designed to be completed within 3 months of purchase. If life gets full, unused sessions may still be scheduled within 6 months of your purchase date, after which any remaining sessions are forfeited. Packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.

A package is an agreement with the practitioner you purchased it from, and its sessions cannot be redeemed with the other practitioner.

17. Sharing the Teachings Through Your Experience

The wisdom of energy healing and intuition has been passed down through oral traditions for centuries, is available to everyone, and is owned by no one. Please share what you learn freely, in your own words and through your own experience, so the world may become more connected and conscious.

18. Sharing of Our Creative Material (Meditations, Crafted Exercises, Course Material)

The specific materials each practitioner creates for classes and your sessions, including course work, classes, exercises, processes, steps, protocols, recordings, guided meditations, movement sequences, and workbooks, are the creative work of the practitioner who made them and her business. Amie’s materials belong to Amie and Higher Love Healing LLC, and Vanessa’s materials belong to Vanessa and Wild Lotus Energy. Please do not copy, distribute, or resell these materials in part or in total.

19. Resources and Referrals

As a courtesy, you may receive links to websites, book titles, or suggestions to see other providers that may be of value to you, including a suggestion to work with the other practitioner at The Soul Haven. This does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of any organization, product, or service, and you are responsible for making your own informed decisions. Neither practitioner is liable for any damages resulting from the use of suggested materials or providers.

20. Release of Liability

You take full responsibility for your own decisions and actions, including those you make as a result of any session. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, you agree that your practitioner is not liable, legally or otherwise, for those decisions or actions, and you agree to hold your practitioner harmless in the event of injury of any kind.

This release covers Amie Tyler, Higher Love Healing LLC, and The Soul Haven, and Vanessa Lee Segale and Wild Lotus Energy, each for her own services. Neither practitioner is liable for the services provided by the other. For in-person sessions, this release also extends to both practitioners and the Patio Shops as to the premises.

21. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms may be updated from time to time, and the version in place at the time of booking applies.

22. You Are Your Own Best Healer

All intuitive guidance is offered for your highest and best good at the time it is given. Free will is the strongest energy in the Universe, and your energy and choices can shift at any time. You remain fully responsible for all the decisions you make.
